Andhra University has signed a MoU with the State government’s King George Hospital. According to the MoU, Andhra University is introducing a 6-year Pharma D Course, a first of its kind in the country. The course would be offered to the students based on their performance in Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). In the beginning, there will be only 30 seats besides a NRI quota. Prof B Satyanarayana, Vice-Chancellor, AU, said, "The new course would transform the very profile of the pharma studies thereby adding authentic clinical dimension to the course which has been hitherto in industry-oriented studies."
