SPEED OF DARKNESS?

IN PHYSICS I OFTEN GET STRUCK OF A QUESTION OF NOT A SINGLE TEACHER OR MY FRIENDS COULD ANSWER ME THE QUESTION IS THAT
"IF SPEED OF LIGHT IS 3 x 108 METRE PER SEC, THAN WHAT IS THE SPEED OF DARKNESS????…."

Asked  Taoqeer Nezam

What does a rheostat control?

What does Rheostat controls? electron drift velocity or quantity of electrons? Rheostat

We know I=nAve
I=current
n=quantity of electron
A=conductor area
e=electron charge
v=drift velocity

Physics Project Help

I have to make a Physics project on the topic-

"to estimate the charge induced on each one of the two identical styro foam(or pith) balls suspended in a vertical plane by making use of coulombs law."

Please tell me how should i make it. Please help me.

CERN might announce an official "discovery" of the Higgs boson next week

CERN officials have announced an extraordinary scientific seminar to be held at CERN on 4 July, the eve of this year’s major particle-physics conference, ICHEP, in Melbourne. So, it is expected that  CERN might announce an official "discovery" of the Higgs boson next week. An interview with Higgs published by CERN also adds to this expectation. In the interview, Higgs opposes the particle being named after him alone.

An example of simulated data modelled for the ...

What do you think? Will CERN announce the discovery of Higg's Boson on 4 July?

Who is Alan Turing?

Alan Mathison Turing  (23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954) is widely considered to be the father of computer science and artificial intelligence. Alan TuringHe was highly influential in the development of computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of "algorithm" and "computation" with the Turing machine, which played a significant role in the creation of the modern computer.

During the Second World War, Turing was a leading participant in the breaking of German ciphers at Bletchley Park.
From 1945 to 1947 Turing lived in Richmond, London while he worked on the design of the ACE (Automatic Computing Engine) at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). He presented a paper on 19 February 1946, which was the first detailed design of a stored-program computer.
On 8th of June 1954, Turing's cleaner found him dead; he had died the previous day. A post-mortem examination established that the cause of death was cyanide poisoning. When his body was discovered an apple lay half-eaten beside his bed, and although the apple was not tested for cyanide, it is speculated that this was the means by which a fatal dose was consumed.

Relative Nature of Motion

Now we know that motion is a relative term.So absolute motion has no meaning, right?
So aren’t Galileo’s view that earth moves around sun and the church’s old belief that sun moves around earth actually not equally correct or equally wrong?
this is a question from hc verma’s concept of physics part 1.(from short answer questions)

Deepali Gupta asked

Answer: The state of motion as well as the nature of motion is relative. When we speak about any of these without SAYING  any reference, we actually have some reference in mind.

When we say that earth is moving around the sun, it is true wrt sun. But, the actual nature of motion is unpredictable since the sun, the galaxy and all are in a state of motion. So, we can say about the nature of motion only with respect to some reference which is assumed to be at rest.
