Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is planning to establish a new campus in Hyderabad. The campus would be set up in 150 acres. As per one official statement, IIM-A has decided to go ahead with the new project in Hyderabad. The government has agreed to allocate the land to the IIM-A, either free or at a very nominal cost. There is no provision for an IIM in Hyderabad in the 12th Five Year Plan. To overcome this, IIM-A reportedly has agreed to set up a new campus in the city, which is an extension of the existing campus of Ahmedabad.
