Common Entrance test (CET) for Medical exams from next year onwards

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to conduct an all-India level examination for admission to post-graduate medical courses across the country early next year. Such an examination will be held for the first time. The syllabus for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET-PG) will be the same as that of the MBBS. CET for admission to Medical Post-graduate Courses across the country shall be held in January-February 2012 for admissions in the academic year 2012-13.
